Introducing...Copper!

As much fun as sterling silver wire is, I thought I'd throw in some copper to add a little variety. So, I've been adding some copper versions of my silver earrings.

And of course, my not so helpful helpers tried to get in on the photo taking...

More Silver Work

I recently got some more silver wire, which is so fun to work with. I love the rustic look of hammered silver with only a little polishing. I think it gives it a more nature-inspired work.

I've been experimenting with leaf shapes, which second to trees, are some of my favorite natural shapes.

Here's how the leaf project turned out (the necklace on the left). Plus some more leaf earrings (in the middle) and just some fun beaded projects.

Latest Projects - Beads

Here are a few things I've been working on.

Turquoise, red sponge coral, and purple glass seed beads.

Calcite wrapped in sterling silver.

Chilean lapis lazuli and glass gold seed beads.

And finally, this is Piper the cat. She does not like me working on the computer and has tried her best to keep me from typing this post.

Silver and Stones

Several years ago, I took a class on metal jewelry. I loved it and it has stuck with me through the years. Recently I finally got some of the tools I need to expand into higher quality sterling silver jewelry. A little bench block and hammer and I've had fun banging away on some silver wire. Plus, I recently got some new beads from my favorite rock and gem store in South Carolina.
